What do you want in life?

I rarely find clarity when I think alone. My mind chooses to become a playground for confusion. Do not expect to find clarity when you read my unrefined thinkings.

If I asked many of you this question, your answers may differ:

I dont know what I want

I want money

I want romance

I want fame

I want security

I want love

I want solitude

I want peace

They sound like different answers, but in truth they're really all the same. We all want one thing.

Happiness.

You want to be happy.

Now with this in light, of course it's natural that you would pursue what you think will bring about this happiness be it your job, love, peace and many times, more often than we think possible, we find it.

But only for a little while.

Then we go looking again, because its an endless craving... a thirstiness than cannot be sated by anything of this world. Thus begins the endless search for something that cannot be fathomed.

With this is mind, you would obviously agree with me, that this cycle is self-destructive and needs to end. We need a destination.

So how do we obtain this fleshless goal?

The answer is more simple than we realise.

We stop looking for it. It sounds like madness. Why would we stop looking for the thing which we search for? Isn't our goal to find it? Shouldn't we look?

Yes. No... No.

No.

If you want something... and you want it to last forever, you do not look for that thing but rather the source of it.

To find hapiness we should not search for happiness but rather the source of happiness.

The next logical thought, if anything I've said is logical at all would be; What is the source?

God.

Do not seek the creation, but rather the creator.

God.

Look for the craftsman rather than his artifacts.

God.

Search for the maker of heavens and earth, of all things and happiness and with him you will find all that he has made.

God.
