I loved you

I loved you

A Poem by StimulateyourCreativity
"

This is one of my first poems about a best friend I lost.

"
I love you,
I couldn't see life without you,
So insane thinking we were once inseparable,
"Boring days" weren't so boring with you,
No worry at all about what the future could do to us,
How did this happen,
How could the universe do this to us,
I'm fed up acting like were friends,
So please don't pretend,
I've lost the old you, I'll never see him again,
When your handing over the cash don't you ever think of the past?
Forget it, I know one day it'll pass,
But how often will you do this to yourself,
Bad wealth and worse health,
I did what I could to stop it,
And you always said you were stopping,
It's hard to make a dog quit begging,
So for us, please just stop using,
I'm done feeling that I'm at fault,
I've done what I've could and you don't appreciate it at all
Who would've thought that addiction would keep us apart

What i truly respected and dug about this piece of work was how honest it is. You didn't follow any rules and demands your full attention. There are lots of poetry about addiction, and many that try to sum it up with in the parameters of what word rhymes with what work and that limits ( in my experience) the true scope of the subject. This authentic and fresh and has an almost urban kick to it. Good Job

The feeling of loosing someone or something. This is something I can relate to very well, as well as many others. I was a shy kind of guy when I was younger, so most of my friends were online. They always said you can't trust someone online, but I wanted to see. Over the years I had many friends on a game called "Little Big Planet 2" I would be the guy that people would come to; to chill and have fun. But other people came around, who were jealous of me and what I had become to be. My friends ended up setting me up because the new people didn't like me. It is so sad how people can just leave our lives like we were nothing. Do they care about the feelings we are loosing? Our heart that is shattering? The anxiety of loosing anything becomes enlarged after you have been left. In life I have learned that no matter how good of a person you may be, someone out there will always be a threat to you. Yeah, it really sucks that people would want to hurt someone else. We try not to look at what we lost, but what we lost is everything. Sometimes, even loosing one person is like loosing your head. I had a situation on this site where I lost quite a few friends due to some bullshit. I think this just makes us stronger and teaches us to be careful. Full rating from me.

I loved this.
I hope your eyes were opened enough for you to see that nothing of his addiction was your fault.

i take my hat off to you for standing by him at first , and seeing what your worth.

Lovely words.

Nice introspection on drugs and how it destroys. It is unfortunate. Your writing scratches the surface on how detrimental a life of a drug user is.

Thank you!
Heartache is hard, but it is also the path to happiness. Good luck, and I hope you find your place amongst the other faces; the home that is your own, and makes you smile back

Thank you so much!!!
It's really a poem that connects throughout. Though many may not have experienced the exact same, we all feel that way sometimes. It is very real and honest, which is what makes it so emotional. Very well done.
