This is a small poem about my struggles with SH and my ED

all the years ive spent on this earth, 5 of those wasted on your double sided love

14 years spent purging and erasing

13 years spent starving and carving

12 years spent crying at the scale

11 years spent crying at her scars

10 years spent shamed of her weight

9 years spent giving into the addiction

You hurt the little girl who wished to grow up beautiful and strong

her mom hurt the little girl by shaming her about her weight

her brothers hurt the little girl by shaming her for feelings

She hurt the little girl by taking revenge for all their words on herself

the little girl was trapped and hurt by the consequences of her actions

she was tired of starving and purging and carving

she was sick of all the pain she went through

she didnt deserve it all

but her pain did

Author's Note

growing up as a Latina girl in a mostly white catholic school, I was always picked on and bullied for not looking like the other girls. My parents took account of this and were my own personal bullies at home, forcing me to eat less and less and to be "healthy". When in the end they fueled an eating disorder I am still battling with to this day. I started counting down all the years I battled and fought with these addictions.

I do like this part of this write, quite an interesting read but enjoyed,
keep writiing always...
