A Lesson About Tanks

Zelfroth teaches Blaze a bit more about being a Tank

Zell wave at his friends and took off to level up his pugilist while Zelfroth taught me more about Gladiators. "How much do you know about the Gladiator anyway Blaze?" I replied, "Not very much, can you teach me?". He nodded and said "lets go for a walk." as we walked he started to tell me what a Gladiator does "The key role of a Gladiator is to tank monsters and hold aggro." I looked at him confused, "Tank?" he said "Yes,  You see everyone has a role to play, Tanks hold all monsters so your team stays alive, Dps's kill monsters as fast as possible, and Healers role is to keep the team alive." "I nodded and said, "Oh, so I'm not the strongest then?" He shook his head "Being a Tank doesn't mean being the strongest, it means you are responsible for protecting everyone in your party and making sure you hold all aggro, because if you don't then your whole party is doomed to fail." I placed my hand on my chin and replied, "I had no idea being a Tank was important." He chuckled "All the classes are important, if a class isn't present in a dungeon or fight then they are less likely to succeed in the final fight." I nodded and all of a sudden a man walks up to us and bows upon arrival, he wore a red cloak and blue boots and had a small rod and shield which indicated he was a Thamaturge "My Lord you hath been summoned by the council of elders." Zelfroth sighed, "Sid what did i say about talking like that?" Sid replied "Thou dost not knowith what thou meanith." Zelfroth shook his head and pointed toward me this is one of our new recruits and my new pupil, his name is Blaze Shadowbane, Blaze this is Sid Blackburn." I held my hand out to shake and smiled "nice to meet you." He pulled away quickly," Shadowbane, I knowith thine name, it doth spread like wild fire around these parts." I tilted my head" what do you mean?" He leaned to Zelfroth "I've heardith that this one hath been stealing in many ways, doth thou thinkith it be wise to allow this thief to roam around freely while our fortune sits unprotected?" He sighed again "Again, quite talking like that and no I think it will be just fine." He shook his head "Me thinks this mere subterfuge my Lord." Zelfroth thought to himself "Shadowbane huh? lets hope that these two aren't the only ones.
