Impossible Dream

Impossible Dream

A Poem by Geraldine
"

This is about a girl who is secretly in love with the man of her dreams..

"

I saw your pretty face
Under the tree shed
Holding a thick book
Seriously reading it

But you are with her
Her head sleeping in
Your broad shoulder
Holding your hand

You look such a sweet
And perfect couple
I walk away and left
To stop the sight of you

I saw your pretty face
In my favorite bookstore
I smell that enticingly
Masculine scent of yours

When you got closer
I saw your gorgeous eyes
Filled with happiness
And your apple red lips

I smiled faintly 'cause
I know I can only love you
Secretly and can
Silently dream of you

A nice, albeit sad poem, written well. I really like the title too.

I like the story and the way you ended the poem. Told a sad tale with a ending of understanding. Thank you for the excellent poem.

This is such a good 'crush' or infatuation, I know that feeling all too well. Great topic. I found it feminine and yearning.

Nicely done.

I can really relate to this, and that's why I was reading this piece so intently. The poem has been written beautifully, so true to unrequited love, and I love it. There are some small grammar mistakes, but overall, amazing job :)

I like this, the title is fitting to the romantic dream you picture in this poem. Nice write.
