Soulless Traveler

Soulless Traveler

A Poem by BlueRibbon
"

How do you feel when love was there but can't be obtained?

"
Yeah, it's like calling and waiting,
and sitting and praying,
She's got tears on her bedside, from
the last time he betrayed her.
He's feeling the inside of a heartless being,
And little does he know,
he's the one who shattered her fantasy, yet tries to say he was the one who kept her heart beating.
Heart being where she kept her
emotions,
She's stuck between heaven and notions of promise versus practicality,
and a disfigured face to match her disfigured reality.
But hold on, she was good enough when the well got dry,
She was good enough for when your taste got dry,
Maybe I'm missing something,
We tell them, "We can provide" but lead the horse to drink?
See, that's a misguide, that last line you probably breezed by,
Woops, there you go again, loving first before your reprieve.
There's another, as I look into an empty space, reflect from the window top, cast down in a miserable state.
My miserable face.

Am I really what you feel,
Or did everything just guide you?
I hated this journey.
I felt it, too.

L-,..
