The Warrior OaksA Poem by SwethaAn English Sonnet about Nature and its destructionThe mighty oaks stand Tall and proud as warriors Yet even they cannot withstand The axes, chainsaws, and carriers
Mother Earth gives us beauty in life Soft petals, lush leaves, and bee hives Yet only to destroy her do we strive By threatening her with machines and knives
Flowers and trees give us inner peace Blooming buds, unfurling leaves, and ripening fruit Yet we destroy them with practised ease Nature's treasuries and reserves do we loot
So, with grasped hands and care for the future Let us save our Mother Nature
