Oak Tree

Oak Tree

A Poem by Swetha
"

A personification of the mighty oaks...

"

I stand deep inside a forest

Surrounded by so many

Of my kind

Yet so alone

The winds whisper their tales

To me, as they pass by

From faraway lands

Rustling my leaves

The rain arrives, much awaited

Falling in torrents

Nourishing my roots

Cleansing my spirit

I stand, so very alone

Lost in my wispy threads of thought

As the winds blow

And the rain falls
