So It Seems

So It Seems

A Poem by S. Overstreet
"

One of those poems that show and proves confidence in ones self and abilities.

"

Extremity

Us my specialty.

I

Never knew what

Limits were.

Not by definition,

By approximation.

See,

I live free indeed

And

No one can tell me different.

I

Never understood

Why

People thought I should

Ever settle for less than

The

Extremity of my

Thought pattern.

It’s way too immense;

Advanced;

Expansive

For even me

To

 go around

And around

I go.

Never considering the pause

Or

Maybe that button is broken.

Never look at the subjective

But include

The whole frame

Of mind

Beyond your limited

Comprehension.

In addition

To your

Consideration;

Exaggeration;

Of your importance.

You’re not alone

On an isle

Called “Me.”

But me?

I am too inventive

With out enough time;

Money

Or patience.

These are my only limitations.

My thoughts

Floating

And then connecting

And then

Becoming an iceberg

Effect.

I

Look so naïve on the surface

Too involved in the present

BUT

Beyond the surface

I’m

Collecting my data

From the

Research called experience

And creating a master plan.

Please don’t limit me

To the

Box you’ve purchased

Or the

Shelf you’ve built

Or the

Picture you’ve crafted

To be what I’m

SUPPOSED to be.

I have no restriction.

Freer than the sea,

And it seems

That’s why I’m dangerous.

About
I have been expressing myself for a long time. I've chosen written words because at one point my voice wasn't considered needed to be heard, in a sense. Now I'm able to verbalize and use written langu.. more..
