my current 7 month long distance relationship (work in progress)

My hair is in Oklahoma
Sometimes I imagine your pulse
Working through the strands
Sending Morse code messages back to me

My lips are on envelopes
Memory stain, stamped red with bright lipstick
When there are no letters
Nights are years

beautiful poem....and it captures the feeling and longing of a long distance relationship so well..

and especially reminds me of a couple old long distance ones i had...when we actually wrote letters..and when hers had the scent of her on it..

now it's emails...texts...but the missing is still there just as strong.
