0 Grams of loveA Poem by Melanie GenevieveI don't really know where this came fromEmotion pouring from measuring cups We used to calculate our feelings in grams So much heavier when our bellies were satisfied muscles swollen, bodies energized The addiction of the activity left us high on life Somewhere along the line you refused to keep up you fell behind on the track into the dust and I kept on running I left you alone If absence was a personal trainer it would kill me The lack of rest is leaving me drained if words had calories I'd probably starve The lack of nutrition isn't healthy I lost my health when I lost you
