One Fine Morning

One Fine Morning

A Poem by SweetRainDrops

Funny, funny stuff.

Ladies and Gentlemen, hobos and tramps
I come before you to stand behind you
To tell you something I know nothing about
Next Thursday, which is Good Friday
There's a convention at the women's clud which is strictly for men only
Admission is free, so pay at the door
Pull up a chair and sit on the floor
It's a Summer's day in winter
The snow was raining fast
A barefoot boy with shoes on
Stood sitting in the grass

One fine morning in the middle of the night
Two dead boys got up to fight
Back to back, they faced each other
Drew their swords and shot one another

One was blind and the other couldnt see
So they puck a dummy for the referee
A blind man came to see fair play
A dumb man stood to shout "hooray!"

A paralysed donkey passing by
Kicked the blind man in the eye
Knocked him through a missing wall
Into a dry ditch and drowned them all

A deaf policeman heard the noise
And came to kill the two dead boys
If you don't believe that my lie is true
Ask the blindman he saw it too!

A good reminder of how utterly absurd and contradictory our topsy-turvy world is. Good reminder that we're all bonkers and full of paradoxes. lol
