A Poem by Sweet Insanity
"

a poem I wrote after failing at saving a great friendship

"

I’m still waiting to wake up from this dream. Some one please tell me this isn’t my reflection. I don’t recognize this soul. A hollow statue standing still. A home I must build. There’s only room for one here. Sorry world, it just wasn’t meant to be. A selfless person does not belong in a selfish world. So please come to me soon sweet reaper. Be my knight in shiny armor. I tried to go to you before, but it wasn’t my turn, to see the beauty you have to offer me. But I’m knocking at your door, won’t you please let me in? Break my hourglass and say it was my time. I won’t mind. Just take me away, sweet reaper, I grow tired of waiting. Let this be my selfish act. The history we share, I no longer see as battle scars. They have now become my beauty marks. Dancing with you made me beautiful, my sweet reaper. Can we dance one last time? Dance the rest of my life away. Twirl me around until I fall to the floor. With each spin, unravel me a little more. Lets show the world the beauty in death. Let’s show the world what true love is. Lets show the world true selfishness. Lets show the world what they’ve made of me. So please come take me away, sweet reaper. Sweep me off my feet. Carry me home. Beautify my soul.

My name's Nancy. Writing is my form of therapy. Sadly, the only time I can write, is when I'm in a depressed state. For that reason, I do love my sadness. It helps me create beauty. I would really lov.. more..
