Wish I Were Blind

Wish I Were Blind

A Poem by SweeTLoU

You were long gone before you ever said goodbye
Built a wall to shut me out and locked yourself inside
Threw me out in the cold and put a sign on the door
Sorry we're closed... love don't live here anymore

so afraid to lose me so you pushed me away
But what's the difference at the end of the day
I saw it coming but I ignored the signs
Now Seeing your face makes me wish I were blind
Now I'm Trying to forget you were ever mine
Seeing your face makes me wish i were blind

Everything we aimed for somehow we missed
And it's so painful watching you fade into the abyss
Angels are proof that hell exists
Maybe that's why they say ignorance is bliss

Its over with I'm done with this
Loves a lie it's counterfeit
I'm Moving on and I'll be fine
seeing your face makes me wish I were blind
Now I realize you were never mine
Seeing that makes me wish I were blind.....
