Growing Pains

I've learned some hard lessons from the life that Ive lived
Nothings forever and change can be swift
You can't take back the things that you've done
And sometimes you lose even if you've won
Too much pleasure causes more pain
Like loving a poison that flows in your vein
So When your demons are screaming don't answer the call
You might not get back up if you fall
We all have a journey with forks in the road
Only you can decide which way to go
Nobody's perfect we all have a past
So just try to improve each day from the last
The weight of the future can make you fall down
So live one day at a time with your feet on the ground
Im nowhere near perfect I'm farther than most
I'm not even who I wanna be but I'm getting close
As I look in the mirror and Start to reflect
On a life of mistakes full of regret
I Shed a tear for memories of sorrow
And find solace in knowing there's always tomorrow
