Counterfeit

Where you look is where youll go
So keep your head up if you feel low
Hide the pain dont let it show
Fake a smile so noone knows

So ill just hide behind this wall
Afraid to climb afraid to fall
Id rather suffer in silence than cry out for help
Maybe thats why i always end up by myself

Happiness is just a mirage
My reality is just self sabotage
Constantly reminded of all my flaws
A photographic memory makes a painful collage

Is this as good as it can get
Sick with worry full of regret
Fearing what will happen next
Im back out there....guess i never left

I swore id never go back again
Yet i know ill soon be giving in
It was never if it was only when
Ill just pretend until then

You tryin not to let it show
That your smiles fake but i know
Soon ill be left feeling low
Your looking back to where i cant go

I thought you were one of a kind
How could i have been so blind
One thing that ive come to find
The knife cuts deepest from behind

I guess this is where ill bid farewell
You want him back and i can tell
Its over thats the end of it
Loves a lie its counterfeit
