So Long

So Long

A Poem by Frank Purcell
"

Its been a while since i wrote... And without it i lose myself.

"
So caught up in the daily struggles
The laughs, the tears, the sweat and pain
So tied up in life's unfolding
Losing who, and what, i am... again.

In my over-processing mind
With a thousand thoughts a second
Yet a thousand and One distractions
And the temptations that they beckon

Thinking without thought,
Its like breathing without air
Like being smothered in a crowd
When theres no one there.

As i watch with eyes shut tight
These dry tears down my cheeks
I count the minutes still remaining
But count an eight-day week

I wait for time to pass on by
To be reunited once again
But im caught up in the daily struggles
The laugh, the tears, the sweat and pain.

Love and miss you baby. . .
Come to me soon.
