Ill Smile, As i Cry

Ill Smile, As i Cry

A Poem by Frank Purcell
"

We were together 3 years, I moved away; so we agreed to not even try, yet neither of us has touched another person, until now... eight months later, she moves on.

"
After three long years, of pure love and laughter
I always thought it would be forever and after
And although i had to move a thousand miles away
I thought love would grow stronger with each passing day

I knew we couldnt date through the distance apart
But the distance did nothing but strengthen my heart
Yet after eight months of being alone; but still yours
Im now left being more alone than i was ever before

Although i smile for you, as you finally move on
I was used being the only one for you, for so very long
And in the eight months apart, with not a single girl
I was fine because you were still my entire world

I smile as i cry, as you dive deep in the future
And watch you walk away, with your new suitor
But i can see as you look back, and once school is done
You'll be coming back to me, 'cause im the only one.
                              For you. . .
