When is always closeA Poem by Simba Gana
When the leaves fall from the trees,When the rivers run dry and the seas thirst,When the bazards and the vultures circle the corpse of some fated creature,When the bowls and the stores succumb to the scourge of famine,When the smiles of felicity escape the countenance of our faces, and the furrows of despair appear. When calous hands and feet of hardship sustain us,and the groans, the sweat and tears become the day,When mental chaos is eminent and hope is cruel. When the world is a bitter place and darkness rules, that is When the truth of my need for you comes to light.Be with me always, for when is always close.
