Sleep walking

Sleep walking

A Poem by Jordan Wilson
"

Thoughts of my mind

"
Sleepwalking through my day, half dead but wide awake.
Is this real? It must be fake.
Why else would I be trapped here,
in this dream, this quaking vision of an illusion far away.

Slumber and rise! Slumber and rise!
New day same routine, sleep walking on my knees,
I call myself free but this cannot be.
Slumber and rise! Slumber and rise!
Sleepwalking zombies in a line till the end of time.
Happily wasting my life without a clue its passing me by.
But the ever thrumming rhythm that is drilled into the back of my mind
from day one is always there even while Im sleep walking through my day.

Sleep and rise! Sleep and rise!
Work....work....work, until you die.
