Hunger

Hunger

A Poem by Saraswati
"

Ugliest truth of all time

"
ve
I saw a scavenger
waiting for its feast to die
I saw its feast
yet crawling and was fighting for its life

the two different aspects
I saw their resonance
waiting to establish and
with no deliverance

I saw some children
with their skinny hands
trying to search edibles
beneath those noxious garbage

Not food,
i saw man eating bullets
Not a robust tulip field
I saw hawks flying over those corpses

Saw smoldering dark vault
heard those war siren
I deciphered how hunger
consumed masses to more extreme

Sanctification of masses
and those oppression
Someones famine
is what elites endowment

In a world with
incessant dearth
A whole lots of conspired theories
where virtuous child takes birth

Innocent is never lost
those been taken
Consumed by the only lifelong dearth
and world ended being frozen

Eyes been shattered
before they even could dream
voices been smothered
before they could scream

I shy to say "lets fight against"
I shy to stay with my righteous"
I shy to say " I am disgusted"
Because each time i breath
somewhere a kid is fallen to death....

'
what more you want
with all those dying lights
Relentless hunger
with all those bloodshed and fights....

I agree with your words. Last year some foolish Politician in the USA said. Africa is better. Only three million are dying of hunger in Africa. Less then the 10 million who die 10 years ago. People who are rich and fat don't understand the feel of starvation. I saw Africa on food and water missions in the nineties for President Clinton. It is a terrible death. Your word true and need to be read. I pray for sanity. USA spend 1.2 trillion on war. Half of this money could feed, shelter and save the life of many. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

Strange and strong imagery in each verse.. this poem forced its visualizations on me. I liked the style of your write, it was a long yet very deeply engaging piece..strange how we as a race treat this problem. cheers

Strong poem! I love your descriptions - this imagery really powers through:
"Eyes been shattered
before they even could dream
voices been smothered
before they could scream"

I am kind of lost for words... I feel awful and sad - so I suppose you nailed it! It really gets under your skind, thank you for writing this.
