Maverick

Maverick

A Poem by Sorry Infamous

Maverick,

again and again,

it's so strong--

salty

this texture--

taste of regret

Tonight,

we come alive

again

I call you

Maverick,

they name us

Liars

Let's start over

turn me over

and over

again

Maverick,

on and on

is that your heart beating--

bursting

This pounding--

pulsing inside

for now,

we are living

again

we are crashing

Maverick,

they have labled us addicts

let's quit

another

stop each other

is it over?

again

Maverick,

more and more,

it's so awful--

amazing

this trangression--

temptation

this instant

is life

again

you are murmuring

Maverick,

they pegged us

tricksters

let's play

yet again

fools for

each other

all over

 again

"Let's play yet again fools for each other" such a great line. I would do away with the "all over again" at the end...because it's redundant after the "yet again". Other than that, this is a great write, dear. The creativity of it. The structure. The words you use and the way you use them is your strongest suit. Each poem I read of yours, I get sucked in and a little pang of sadness strikes when it's over. Well done with this and I'm glad I got the chance to review it first.
