Un(Tamed)

Un(Tamed)

A Poem by Sorry Infamous

Why?
Why wait for it?
We are winter wolves in sheepskin.
Animals, only.
All toothsome and willing.

Would you think me weak...
If I let you have your way now?
I am feral.
You are couped up, caged.
Her fingers like bars to pin you down.

Face it,

Face me!

We would not be speaking still
if you didn't want to run wild
with the wind in our whispers

I will free you from your stone

The title pulled me in to this one, and I wasn't disappointed. Untamed indeed.

We cannot hold onto to someone who wants t be free... it is less painful to let them go than watching them break away.

Oh if I could pick just one line that had me breathless but I can't, for I want them all. Especially though I love these:

Would you think me weak...
If I let you have your way now?
I am feral.
You are couped up, caged.

Beautifully written, I find this most (un)tamed.

The words here of freedom strike and pierce as knives... the wildness of the world within... not wishing to conform, but to run freely... But how hard it is to ever let go..

Good to be feral. A wild animal may act controlled. They are waiting for the chance to escape. I like the energy and the desire in the poem. I have known feral woman. They stop for desire company at their will. A very entertaining poem. I like the ending to the outstanding poetry. A second review. I had to read twice.

This piece has a strong voice, primal, raw, real release. Made me want to howl. Love the imagery "winter wolves in sheepskin" and then the ending WOW!
Face me!

We would not be speaking still
if you didn't want to run wild
with the wind in our whispers

I will free you from your stone

It's good to see you back. Obviously this is something taken from life. Powerful and heartbreaking at the same time. My only critique would be to take out the exclamation point. Kind of takes away from everything. I assumed the whole time this was a passionate plea of sorts.
