Welcome to the LigerA Poem by Atram DaceIt is set in a world with no Sun where buds of the plants provide luminence, and talks about the first meeting of the protagonist and his future wife. It is a prologue to a finished story.
In a City with no Sun, he met her
It was in a pub Her grey uniform welcomed him inside With that killer smile Dante and Isabella, they both stopped Under yellow lights In a place where plants danced, swayed and glow bright Above the darkness In a place where the moon torments them all But they didn't care She greeted him, "Welcome to the Liger" "Thank you," he replied. And he sat, the other chair lay empty "Hey, want an order?" Dante gazed, his mouth sputterred useless words Isabella laughed Amongst the drinking crowd, Dante followed They stared and they smiled. © 2014 Atram Dace |
