You

You

A Poem by Saruwa

You

My heart aches when I’m not with you
My body quakes at the thought of touching
Breathing deep, holding it in. Letting out my dreams for tomorrow

I have visions of dancing with you
In the kitchen, swaying close and bodies brushing
Stumbling to the bedroom, laughing
In your arms, I’m safe with you.

Hearing your heart beat against mine,
Smelling your skin and feeling warmth
Growing
Loving every moment I’m yours, wishing
Each day would never end

Hoping day after day that time would stand still, being young with you in love
Leaning
Closer to your heart, deeper in your kiss,
Comfort and content rest in between

Having the best moments of my life,
Every one spent in your embrace
Falling
Deeper in love with everything you are
Nothing will ever change my affection
