Jaded

Jaded

A Poem by Saruwa

My expectations and my heart arrive the same,
that tears should fall like leaves at your name,
with woes not unlike the coming seasons,
drifting to and fro without rhyme & with no reason.
As colors shine then slowly fade,
may the outcome not cloud or hopes be jade.
Flickers of hope like the fire in your eyes,
say goodbye to my heart like a thousand July's

"may the outcome not cloud or hopes be jade."

What? Jade? What does that mean? Is that bad or good? I like jade. You got a problem with jade?

I liked the end though... end of summer nostalgia and a little melancholy for lost hope. It's not total dog water...
