Wrecked

Wrecked

A Poem by Saruwa

“Fragile like glass,
piece by piece
shattering close.
The ground comforts me

picking up thoughts,
they slip between fingers.
There’s nothing I can do,
my castle is crumbling.

Panicked and helpless,
tossed oft to the waves.
The sea of emotions
each wave envelops me,

how did it come to this?
I sit and wonder broken,
this was not supposed to happen.
Even if just a shack rebuild me.”

I like the image of thoughts slipping through your fingers....it helps relay the sense of being lost and confused.

Thanks Suspect Gray, glad you liked it!
" Even if a shack rebuild me"- i love this last ray of hope because it shows that no matter what happens, the soul will recover.
Wrecked is the perfect word to describe the devastation and the sorrow contained within these verses. Wonderful piece, dear Sarah! :)

Sad but true..there are broken things that just cant be fixed no matter how much we try. Nicely written.
