Pawns

Pawns

A Poem by Saruwa

defenseless and defective they claim to be,

but they can't fool me, they don't fool me

a guise of innocence they purport

while on others, blame they spew

to be among the elite they strive

but they hold a different view

the stage is set, beguiled are many

they lost all reason-given up sanity

for what purpose, to what aim?

we are all pawns in their game.
