Veiled

Veiled

A Poem by Saruwa
"

Divided hearts always leave

"

There were so many veils left unpulled,

Hidden hearts and muffled words

Sullen minds with sentiments unheard

We didn't know what wasn't uttered would hurt

Two hearts behind the veil, wounded but trying to beat

Dreams to last forever,

we thought we had it all,

Never feeling the weight of the fall,

Closer to grace but not there yet

Hearts once fit like puzzle pieces

What I thought it was,

It wasn't quite to be

At least not yet now for me

Hopes held so high shattered quick

Divided hearts always leave

Here I lie, heart shattered

Bleeding pain and sorrow

For what I hope tomorrow

I await transformation

An abandoned heart aching

i am usually a really reserved person able to handle his emotions... but im sitting in the middle of my English class reading this... and i have tears in my eyes, This poem takes you on a trip of hopeful love... into the inevitable heartbreak, and then to the damage done... to waiting for a hopeful tomorrow.... i like this poem my favourite stanza was:
"Dreams to last forever,
we thought we had it all,
Never feeling the weight of the fall,
Closer to grace but not there yet
Hearts once fit like puzzle pieces"
