Fate had it in for meA Poem by SaruwaLove is a losing game. Fate holds the cards though I try to hold them close to my chest. The chips fall and sometimes love folds.Fate had it in for me, from the very start. As the moon waxed, my heart waned, Severing the lines from my head to my heart. It knew not what it was doing, a teetering saw. It struck when I was happiest, given nigh a chance, took my love right from me, cutting emotions raw. What did I do to deserve, all this disdain? Or was it what he did, guilty were we both, Whatever the reasons withheld from me, all I know is pain. I never saw it coming, gave it not a passing glance. For my love and I were happy, forever to be true, But up crept the weeds past, giving rise to deathly chance. Its all over now, but not all for naught. This pain, these lessons, the love I learned, Experience my imaginations never taught. © 2015 SaruwaFeatured Review
