All Souls

All Souls

A Poem by In Em's Wonderland

A silent man sits in a chair.
He's more a silhouette,
like those trees
at the edge of the field.
Moving through this ghost world.
Candles, each flame a soul.
"See you on the other side,"
he whispers softly,
seeking forgiveness.
Today the air is silent.
Painful, this silence.
Pressing against the dark,
the dead waiting to be reborn.
