Tomorrow

Tomorrow

A Poem by In Em's Wonderland

Tomorrow

On the edge of tomorrow,
knot your fingers in mine
under changing skies.

Goodbye is never far away,
thus I hold a promise
between my lips that
I shall remember this moment.

I do not wish for tomorrow.
I will visit you at sunset
in this shirt of yours.
A flower missing the rain.

The way time passes by,
hold it before it leaves.
Speaking your name
when tomorrow comes.

Sadness, eyes shut, realisation that even more moments have been laid to rest, that

'I do not wish for tomorrow.
I will visit you at sunset
in this shirt of yours.
A flower missing the rain.'

Come what may, damp or dry, dark or light, you will be for your darling. As you must.

'Tomorrow' is inevitable yet weaving of tender expectations still goes on. The wording and imagery are just wonderful.

'...I will visit you at sunset
in this shirt of yours.
A flower missing the rain...'

I'm glad that I come across this beautiful write. I'd love to read more of yours. Thank you

This is tinged with a bit of sadness. Wearing an old shirt and thinking of that person. This is worded with care and has heartfelt emotions embedded in it

I love the way your poem has structure and how vivid the metaphors are.
