DreamlandA Poem by SvennySecond of three poems written about my trip to Iceland. This one was written in the East Fjords about the hydro electric dam there.
I wake up
stumble out of the van take a bleary eyed look around A giant concrete wall thrusts from the gorge dumping all its hate on mother nature Soil turned black as death water now brown and sickly flat-lining with every turbine revolution The clouds look angry, lonely, vengeful for the ground they once kissed passionately with rain Then I realize I've yet to wake. This is just a nightmare © 2011 Svenny |
