RiverwalkA Poem by SvennyJust sitting by the river, noticing the life around me. Doesn't feel quite right yet so any kind of advice, criticism or support is welcome.Green radiates life from behind me branches drape over the walkway the river laps against their roots white caps rolling over Emerald Grass nips at your ankles begging you to stay
Sitting cross legged on this concrete cube groups waltz by strolling past life their dance of delight crushes the lifeforce underfoot
The river runs red with the blood of nature long been dying from our hands off in the distance civilization roars spewing progress from it's head
And as nature dies with thunderous applause I love not what we are but what once was. © 2010 Svenny |
