Here I stand
waiting
freezing
my teeth chattering, chilled to the bone
I wait anyways
My only choice
I'm trying to help,
I know its no good
I hope it hurries.
I look the other way, and see
the world, once covered in a gleaming white,
Pristine
We've destroyed it,
with concrete, glass, and sand.
Birds fossilized where they stand,
petrified in amber and smoke
I hear the sound.
Like the destruction of a thousand forests,
it rumbles around the corner.
It stinks,
decaying bodies cloud my mind,
wilted flowers, and flames.
It stops at my feet
I climb aboard
and aid the destruction
But life goes on,
I'm warm
