I see you
wading in shallow waves
the radiance of sun-kissed skin
hunting seashells
like none found before

As if the discovery
of the unique
buried in a million grains of sand
would prove
no-one could adore me
more than you

I only desired
to be kissed by moonlight
and still find you
wanting me at dawn

While you searched
the worthless
I argued
with the rising scream
and ached for love

Stupendous choice of words! And I feel your screaming, your aching so loudly, so ferociously, so passionately. And it is so disheartening when you feel so much love and passion for another who doesn't even notice you, is looking for superficial relations. Alas, love isn't always reciprocal!

Stupendous sound pretty good to me, thank you!! :o) No, it doesn't always get returned at all. This isn't 100% my story but it's very close, 'he' just didn't understand love at all. And what else can you do with someone with a huge missing essential element in their thinking? Maybe some would stay and love anyway, but for me, I had to get away from such a plastic heart before it turned mine plastic too.

Thank you Kelly! So many of us have been. It is amazing what we can recover from and yet believe we won't. This is one of the great learning curves of life, at least it was for me.

Oh yes, that gif is so lovely, it makes me subconsciously hear the ocean! Cup your hands over your ears - that will create the illusion!! :oD

oh, how bittersweet this write is and so apt...unfortunately, I know this all too well..wanting that single person to be the one and realizing it's not going to happen is crushing...but, we pick-up, loosen the grip on the one sided love, and move forward...nicely-done, Suzy

Thank you very much! Yes, life is full of disappointments especially if we put too much hope in people. Trying to love someone just for who they are is not easy, but perhaps - if we could manage it, it might work a little more effectively. But then other's would say that was second best. The the very thought of it deserves a *sigh* !! ;o)

I've come to learn (and this is not cynical) that we can only put hope in ourselves and rely on ourselves...when we are comfortable with that, and have no expectations beyond it, then we are never disappointed... you are welcome :)
