Beautiful. That first gleaming page, almost begging to be chosen by you. I always find it difficult to write on that first page. I want it to be worthy of being on the first page. I told this once to an ex and she looked at me like I was some kind of experiment gone wrong. Maybe that is why she's my ex :)
A beautiful invitation to all, to speak. I want to write this on the cover of my journal.

I know what you mean, the feeling of not wanting to ruin a new book with unworthy writing. You should have told your ex, only a writer could understand that. ;o) Ah, thank you - please write it on the cover of your journal!!

The finest of micropoetry! Can be interpreted dually. Literally and figuratively. As if an open empty book is waiting for you to utter your story, to pen it with your ink. As if you are interacting with a person, an open book, with whom you have a deeply connected moment.

That invitation of "speak" is very much there. It's quite entertaining to see what comes out in that way, I should do that more often!
I wonder if the pen was asking the poet or the poet asking the muse? A beautiful piece describing the lure of ink and a blank page... wonderful!

Could be either way, you never can tell ;o) A woman on a writers site told me the other day she thought this was sexy. I laughed, and said "only a writer would think of that!!" :oD
Wow, thanks for reading sooo many of my writings, so kind of you, I really appreciate all of that!!!
A very haiku-like, tweetable, micropoem from the queen of micropoems herself. Have an ink pot! Oh, we don't have those anymore.

Haha...thanks for the virtual ink pot - that's lovely - it's the thought that counts!! :oD
A poem, with brevity...I LOVE it!! Girl, I am so glad I found you this evening!

Thank you for all your wonderfully warm and welcoming comments Kelly, I'm very glad you found me! I see from your profile you're from San Diego (big wave to you across the water) I'm in England and it's first thing in the morning here! I've taken a quick look at your work Kelly and I can see you are an excellent writer. I'm going to come back later today, might even be this evening, but I promise I will read your work then, when I'm not so rushed - very much looking forward to it!! :o)
