Global WarmingA Poem by Mariana SilvaPoem I wrote soon after taking a part in the "Slow Down, Save Gas" incentive in my area. The heat is horrible! Its beating down relentlessly, ONly partially giving in at night. The sunburn is kist plain terrible. It tortures you completely "Global warming is a lie," Yeah, right!
The storms are horribly frightening They flood the floor of poor countries And steal various lives. Man's ignorance, it can be amazing... It is vast destruction that even blind man sees. "Global warming is a life," is taking lives.
From one extreme to another, These tragedies can be remedied. Unfortunately...we've yet to start. So I'm asking: mother, father, son, daughter... Don't await a chance to follow a good deed, Why don't you start? © 2008 Mariana SilvaAuthor's Note
