The Pain

The Pain

A Poem by Mariana Silva
"

Difficulties and stress riddled my night, so I let my journal in on the emotional distress.

"

Sitting all alone,

Taking every blunt blow,

Tears can't help but fall.

Fables, of stupidity,

Only add salt to these wounds.

Secluded from everyone,

And anyone, who might even care.

This pain, tearing me apart,

Can only signify my demise,

For, what life have I,

Without those I desperately sought?

These innumerable deceptions,

Do not cease with time,

Otherwise I might not know this pain.

I like how it's fragmented sentences.
It's quite amazing. I loved it.

Fantastic and very emotional!

I usually read poems two times over because I never get the full meaning unless I read it again.
with this poem, the second time I read it was probably the best.
I didn't get it at first. (probably cause I read it too fast)
But the second time I felt the extreme emotion that was in this person.
This is most certainly a poem of emotional distress as it says in your description.

My favorite line,

Tears can't help but fall.
Fables, of stupidity,
Only add salt to these wounds.

Very powerful! I'll try to read some of your other pieces of work. Until then keep writing!
