Time's MaskA Poem by Mariana SilvaWho ever said suffering had to remain something negative?Long stretches of road, The streets are empty. Children caught in time, Adults lost in thought, Time's all gone. Driving down this path, Realization is slow to show. Never meant to go this far But its all coming to an end. The dark of the night, Succumbing to the dawn, And dying all over again. Heaven's tears stain the ground, As they mourn this renewal. Yes, another day and chance, At the expense of the dark. Dark is not always evil, Sometimes, its just a mask. Masking the world's pain And the evil of man. © 2008 Mariana SilvaAuthor's Note
