FriendsA Poem by Mariana SilvaFour people meet....Be honest, admit to what you deny Accept that which you would never acknowledge, And finish what you started.
He was a child without mother, Without the love of his creator. He searched out a replacement, Someone to fill the void of non-existence. There was never a warm embrace Much less a reassuring voice To scare away the nightmares.
There was another who was abandoned. A mother left him with a father Whose intentions were thwarted By his desire for the love of another. HIs mind damaged by grief, And his heart frozen to his own mind. He was left to lead himself.
The third child suffered though much, Yet was never to lose his faith. Held firm to his love of God. The tragedy he faced Filled him with questions and doubts. Even kindness gave him pause, Thinking it only time before there was pain.
Be honest, admit to what you deny Accept that which you would never acknowledge, And finish what you started.
Soon, they received a girl. To each, she meant somthign different Yet to each, she tried to support. Se was no better than any of them, But she was no worse. She had her own battles to endure But she trued to not let it show.
Each was dealt a harsh fate That was uniquely the same to each. Companionship led them to admiration. Each discovered what they liked about The other. Simply-said, they made a family. Through bad days and good, They still had each other as hope.
One child found love, Another discovered new guides The third found positivity The last found happiness. Together they found each other Not their problems Because they got a new start.
Be honest, admit to what you deny Accept that which you would never acknowledge, And finish what you started. © 2008 Mariana SilvaAuthor's Note
