The Silence FellA Poem by Suzanne DeakinsHow much we dont say, how much we long to say how much we want to hearThe silence fell and you could hear the mountain speak a thousand years of silence passed into the snow The mountain answered us you stood with your eyes closed your heart open The silence fell and the clouds sang a hundred years of tears floated into the ocean tears floating from closed eyes love flowing from open hearts The silence fell and your cry of love was heard sound witnessing love Tear this silence from my lips let my life be spoken leave not the quiet to speak of my being The silence fell and the lute could play as the strings of my heart were strummed by love the song we are playing is pure and full the stars will dance and the moon will sing The silence fell we could hear as we closed our eyes and opened our hearts. Write our love in this song Gently playing upon our hearts Let the sound be Close our eyes so we may feel.
