The Two Faced Kingdom: Prologue- The Meeting~ Part 1

A story about one two faced kingdom.

There once was a prince, or two princes. They were indeed two princes, but most would call them one. In fact, they were never called two until one little girl came along...

She found them in the woods one day. They seemed very distraught. She asked them how they were. Caught off guard in there special hidding place, they responded:

"Great."

"Absolutely horrible."

She did not realize that they were two until they spoke, for they shared the same body she spoke to. This girl was easily shocked, but was prone to accepting things as well. Two clarify were assumption, she asked:

"Are you one or two?"

The two had never been called two, but always one. They were called many things in fact, but never two. They were suprised that this stranger could see the two as two and became a mix of emotions; they did. Two settle the mix they asked:

"Who are you?"

It was now the time for the girl to be suprised. No one had ever asked her for a name before, so she became a mix of emotions as well. The strong emotion of embaressment bullied her into saying

"It's not nice to ask for other's names before giving your own."

Since they had many names, they were unsure what to say. They could tell her all their names, but then she might decide to call them the names they didn't like. They could tell her what most called them, but they would get scolded for using that name. In the end they decided to say:

"We don't have names."

The girl's eyes grew wide and she laughed:

"Then you must be like me!"

It was during this time, this meeting, that the kingdom would be forever changed.

Author's Note

I purposely made it sound like a bed time story, or at least tried to.

No one really told me a bed story, so I don't know. I really like the story, so keep up the good work.
