VENUSA Poem by Roger TurgeonDid I imagine or is she for real?VENUS Her body is cloaked in a long draped dress Every smooth curve the folds do caress It’s slit to the waist for a graceful stride As across the room she lightly does glide A strong dark thigh is revealed with her gait Venus has entered all else must now wait A neck line exposes breasts barely concealed With fabric so sheer that they are revealed Long slender arms part the air silently Her brown eyes fixed directly on me Her hair is combed up subdued with a braid The closer she gets the more I’m afraid In awe of her charms what shall I dare say The words that I seek escape me today I’m no Adonis but sense her desire The waves lifting me to heights I aspire Wrapped in her presence my soul is captured My heart loudly beats for it is enraptured Will I taste those lips, will her arms entwine Will I make love to this goddess devine Only time will tell and fate will reveal Did I imagine or is she for real © 2014 Roger Turgeon |
