WHISPERSA Poem by Roger Turgeonsssssshhhhhhh!!!WHISPERS Whispers for the first time But never for the last Silent as a mime Yet loud enough to blast Whispers in the window From the inside looking out Will I ever know What the whispers are about Whispers on the phone Did she just call me dear Though I’m all alone I think I heard it clear Whispers in the morning Into my ears they flow Softly without warning They fill my heart and grow Whispers while we’re eating A touch beneath the table Gets my heart to beating I’ll return it when I’m able Whispers late at night Does it matter what she said As I hold her tight Warm and safe in bed Whispers are for sharing Just for ears of two The whispers that say caring Are simply I LOVE YOU © 2014 Roger Turgeon |
