BREATHA Poem by Roger TurgeonHow our lives are driven by events we don't even realize are occurring...oh... and a rare free verse from meBREATH I inhale and feel the
universe press against my chest It’s as if my breath is being
drawn from the whole of creation It flows though my flared
nostrils barely tingling as it goes Without thinking it passes
down my throat and fills my lungs A renewing lifeforce has just
entered my being.. yet I am unaware Upon such repeated ignorance
my very life is dependent So powerful and yet so subtle
are the events that sustain me And yet I dwell on the
realities of a world of my own making The pause between breaths is
my only living view of eternity An eternity that a few brief
moments without breathing will surely bring I do not fear the impending timeless
extension of breathless pauses For the unknowns of this
universe are with me now, waiting for discovery © 2014 Roger TurgeonReviews
