![]() Tin Man CowboyA Poem by Roger Turgeon![]() Inspired by the picture that accompanies the poem![]() TIN MAN COWBOY He’s a tin man cowboy on a cast iron steed Lost in the tall grass, lost in the choke weed An inverted funnel made out of tin Let’s thoughts escape freely, few are let in A rusted tub body, no heart inside No savior in Oz, since the wizard has died Dryer vent arms, angled duct work for legs Attached quite loosely with galvanized pegs Riding in circles, one hand waves in fear Retracing his tracks, unable to steer His journey to nowhere starts once again A destination, he’s already been © 2014 Roger Turgeon |
