A Poem by Susie

A tribute to that friend that is there for you when you need them.

V1.
The door is shaking at the fist of a stronger hand

Familiar demon is back for one last fight

Just to finish off the scene, outside is rain and lightning

The end of something has arrived

Chorus.
Sanity, can I call you after midnight

Tentatively present my desperation

To your advice

It is absurd, it is obscene

But I'll be damned if I can't

Borrow your eyes

You have the perfect ratio of meaningful words

And the ones I can't remember, but I remember laughing

Crying, laughing, breaking down the walls of fear

They were far too heavy for me anyway

I am consumed by all my childish mistakes

Unresolved aftermath, passionate rage

I am skin and bone, dirty and bare

A maize of damp cheeks, unruly hair

Alone in the cage of the mind

Facing torture of a unique kind

No control over tears or time

Sorry, I am unreasonable
