Glad I had you

What if our destiny are different,

I am glad I met you,

and to have those memories too.

No matter where we are today,

I am happy we were together,

and we still silently love each other.

As they say, it's better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all. People differ in how they react once that love is gone: some despair, some feel grateful. Looks like the speaker in this poem belongs to the latter group.
