In Memory of A Hero

It is a poem in the honor of the late Mr.Rajiv Gandhi, former Prime Minister of India.

Into a noble kin,

he was born.

Yet, he was modest within,

With sincerity, he was adorn.

“Politics isn’t my forte,” he said

“In piloting lays my passion,” his words read.

 

Little did he know, what lay ahead.

Destiny was against the life he led.

Eventually, he did stumbled upon,

The politics, which for him, was long forlorn.

 

With the talent flowing in his vein,

Along with the zeal to sustain,

National welfare he sought to gain.

 

He fed the starved,

The sculpture of development he carved.

He worked for peace,

And our love for him did increase.

 

But all was ruined on one terrible day,

We called the deed insanity.

Said the assassins have no humanity.

Our hero was brutally killed.

 

We mourn the day,

To honour his patriotism.

To follow Mr. Gandhi’s way,

Let us promote Anti-Terrorism.
